I was privileged to serve as the MC for the National Catholic Youth
Conference. It was one of the most inspiring sights I have ever
seen...over 25,000 teenagers choosing to celebrate their faith. To see
the respect they had for the city, the people and each other is
something I will not soon forget. I feel sure you would agree and in

sessions. I am writing to ask that you extend all reasonably possible
leniency to them in any homework they must make up. We were going
strong from 7am to 11pm for 3 solid days. They did not have much time
to focus on any schoolwork. What they gained from this experience was
truly invaluable. I ask that if they show good faith, you allow them to
make the work up in the next week.
